Note from the Couple
We asked the couple to tell us about their planning and budgeting process, and this is what they had to say:
After postponing our March wedding to November 21st due to COVID, we decided to have a more intimate wedding that was elegant yet Covid protocol approved. We wanted to make our guests felt safe yet still enjoy and have a great time. We included the Hora Loca Guys to get the party started.
The Venue: Indian Spring Country Club
We searched for a venue for about a year that would accommodate my handicap mother and provide us with an outdoor wedding and elegant handicap friendly reception area. Indian Spring Country Club in Boynton Beach gave us just that. It is conveniently located 10 minutes from our home making it the perfect venue for our wedding. Indian Spring Country Club provided us with an all-inclusive package with included: valet parking, duo plate (filet mignon/sea bass), wine table service, open bar for 5hrs, and reduced rate for Rehearsal Dinner. Indian Spring Country Club is not widely known/advertised, so we are glad we happened upon it while attending a local bridal show. The Florist: Tropic All Blooms n’ More
When it came to planning, there were two things that were important for us. Food and ambiance. Althea from Tropic All Blooms n’ More met with us once (over a year prior to our wedding). When speaking to Althea, we went over the “feel” we wanted for our wedding. I had samples of colors for our wedding palette and explained I wanted a mixture of colors with my favorite rose. I explained I wanted colors to blend in, not “stick” out like many florists do. On the day of, Althea delivered more than what we hoped for. Her pricing is amazing as she works directly with flower farms, making her packages affordable. Althea is one of the three vendors we would hire again and again. She is truly an artist that can convert any room and make it magnificent. The Photographer: Poirier Wedding Photography
When looking for a photographer, we wanted to make sure we found someone that would capture “moments” and not simply a staged group photo. When looking online, we came across Poirier Wedding Photography. Stacey was one of the three vendors that we truly enjoy hiring and would do so again. She is truly exceptional and professional. Her art truly shows in her pictures. The “happy” feeling you get while looking at her work is what made us chose Poirier Wedding as our day of photographer. The Officiant: Timeless by Milton
Milton was one of our last vendors we hired. We met with a couple of officiants that left us with more questions than answers. When choosing an officiant (we were new at this!), we needed guidance as putting a ceremony together takes experience. Milton made sure to explain and go into detail what our wedding ceremony would be like by asking us questions that were very easy to answer. He “interviewed” us together and separately, then put together a wonderful ceremony that was unique and included us! Milton was one of the three vendors that we will recommend to friends and family as he is truly amazing at what he does. He made us feel calm despite all Covid-19 challenges. The Musician: Master Musicians
We love Spanish Guitar and wanted to have ceremony music along with cocktail music. Master Musicians are extraordinary, and their packages are unbeatable. They are very professional and commendable. Our guests enjoyed the Spanish Guitar as we decided to not use anyone for our ceremony (due to Covid-19 guidelines and distancing issues). Everyone at the wedding raved about the Spanish guitar as it set the mood for cocktail hour. The Beauty: Bombshell Makeovers
Alexa and Carolina from Bombshell makeovers created my retro/romantic look and made me feel beautiful. My bridesmaids and I are not fond of makeup, but Alexa did an amazing job with makeup that made us feel great. Carolina has such an art for hair. She made my Asian type hair look great in soft waves that lasted all night. Bombshell makeovers truly made our day.The DJ: New York Sound
We saw New York Sound during a bridal event we attended at Indian Springs Country Club. They were able to give us a package along with the photobooth that met our budget. We hired The Hora Loca Guys that complemented the reception and got the party started. We did not meet with many DJs as music to us was more of ambiance. When deciding to have a Covid-19 wedding, we wanted to assure family and friends that we were making an educated decision. Our venue and vendors were professional in adhering to CDC regulations. We wanted our guests to be safe as taking part of such a large gathering was very risky. Our venue and vendors went above and beyond to provide us with great service despite a pandemic.
