Brunch is a weekend staple in our lives, as it is for many others. So it’s only natural that Palm Beach brides and grooms want to host a brunch wedding. It’s a unique and delicious way to celebrate your nuptials.
We worked with MIPB Family Member Marriott Singer Island’s event team to create this awesome list of perks to hosting a brunch wedding. What we learned is that Marriott Singer Island is a great spot for your wedding and wedding weekend plans. Plus, their menu options are delicious!

1. Brunch Foods
Waffles and benedict and croque madame…oh my!! This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to menu options for brunch weddings. Brunch items are light and flavorful – perfect for a memorable wedding. Check out some of Marriott Singer Island’s delicious brunch menu ideas here!
2. Secluded Beach Ceremony
Brunch weddings by their very nature are earlier in the day. Beach ceremonies at Marriott Singer Island are stunning and with the earlier start time, you are less likely to have a stray beach goer in your ceremony photos. Bonus: the ocean can serve as your something blue!
3. Cheers to a Champagne Bar
No brunch outing would be complete without delicious drinks. So why not host a champagne bar! Guests can select the perfect mixer for them to add to their bubbly. You can even give each drink type its own “special name” for the wedding. Here are our votes for these yummy concoctions:
- Tropical Sunrise: champagne, orange juice, and grenadine
- “Shell”y Temple: champagne and grenadine
- Ocean Breeze: champagne, blue curacao, and pineapple juice
- Traditional Bubbly
- Sunset in Paradise: champagne and cranberry juice
4. Donuts and Other Yummy Desserts
We love wedding cake as much as the next person, but brunch weddings open up a whole array of desserts that can be served. These delicious donut holes are a perfect complement to wedding cake. Same with these citrus flavored macarons. Talk to the head pastry chef at Marriott Singer Island and let your imagination run wild!
5. Gorgeous Views
3800 Ocean is the beautiful restaurant space at Marriott Singer Island and makes for the perfect brunch wedding venue. Its floor to ceiling windows overlook the stunning Atlantic Ocean. It’s an amazing view that is best enjoyed during daylight. With a brunch wedding, you can relish the beautiful backdrop throughout the reception.
6. Budget Friendly
Weddings can be expensive, but with some good planning you can find ways to cut costs without sacrificing your vision. Brunch weddings are a great option for keeping costs down. Menu items are less expensive plus guests tend to not drink as heavily during brunch weddings keeping that bar bill low. Definitely a perk!
7. Fun with Color
You can definitely play up a bright color scheme with a brunch wedding. We think the clean, modern feel of 3800 Ocean looks great with a fun color theme. Showcase bright colors like pinks, oranges, yellows, and greens. Embrace the color!
8. Gorgeous Photos
We have 3 words for you…Sunrise First Look! Sunrises on the beach at Marriott Singer Island are gorgeous and full of color, so you are bound to get some epic photos to commemorate your big day. But if you aren’t into First Looks, no worries. Having a brunch wedding guarantees that you will have natural light during your portrait session, as long as the weather cooperates 😉
9. The Perfect Vibe
With the timing of brunch weddings, they can be formal soirees or laid-back affairs. You can dress up to the nines or go casual in some comfy Kinos. The reception can be filled with guests playing board games or having a dance party. It’s truly up to you to create the perfect vibe.
10. Keep the Party Going
Typically, brunch weddings wrap up around 2/3pm. This leaves the afternoon, evening, and even the next day (if you had a Saturday wedding) for spending with your guests. Plan some time to lounge on the beach while enjoying lunch at Marriott’s Reef Tiki Bar, indulge in a delicious beverage in the 3800 Lounge, or explore the many options off-property. Options are endless for spending time with your nearest and dearest.
